About Timothy

Timothy "TJ" Wiegman graduated with a B.S. in Engineering Physics with minors in Mathematics and in Cellular and Molecular Biology. He was a prominent part of the Physics and Engineering department, where he met many friends and mentors that he will cherish for years to come, and he also accidentally convinced many in the Biology and Chemistry departments that he was a Biology (or maybe Biology-Chemistry?) major. (He wasn't... though for a period of time he did plan on going to medical school!)

TJ was a trip leader and guide in PLNU's Outdoor Leadership ("Great Escapes") program for several years, where he enjoyed making new friends and sharing his love for the natural world with other students. He also enjoys video games, reading, and other nerdy things, as well as strength and endurance sports like running, cycling, and weightlifting.

Loma was a place where he built many relationships and experienced much growth, both in knowledge and in spirit, and it will always hold a special place in his heart.

Timothy's Special Achievements and/or Tributes

• Honor's Project/Senior Thesis: "Characterizing a distributed pressure sensor built from off-the-shelf piezoresistive polymer"
• Dean's List all 8 semesters at PLNU
• Physics and Engineering Department's "Outstanding Senior" of 2019-2020
• Beta Beta Beta (Member)
• Research Assistant to Dr. Mike Mooring, PLNU Biology (2017-2018)
• Research Associate at NASA Ames Research Center (2019)
